In 1915 Dr. O. S. Haverfield built a hospital in Hardin. The hospital was known as the Haverfield General Hospital and brought modern medicine to the area.
This building was originally built a rectory for the parish priest. Later, the building was moved behind the hospital and served as a rest and break area for the nurses.
In 1991 the Doctor's Office was donated to BHCM and now offers exhibits of "modern medicine" of the time.
