The Chicago, Burlington, & Quincy railroad opened this depot in 1906 in the town of Lodge Grass, Montana. It eventually became the center of the flourishing small community.

In 1987, the depot became part of the BHCM. Inside the depot, the exhibits include a waiting room, agent's office, and the warm and cold freight rooms downstairs and the family living quarters upstairs.

Outside you can see a wooden stock car, 1890’s Way Car and an 1880’s drover car.
