HISTORY

In 1979, The Big Horn County Historical Society donated approximately 22-acres to create the Big Horn County Historical Museum. The museum is located on what was once a flourishing vegetable farm, which contained the farmhouse and barn. Since then, the museum has added many historical buildings and authentic furnishings and is now set up to look like a small town.

OUR MISSION

The Big Horn County Historical Museum is to collect, preserve, research, restore and exhibit all items pertinent to the history and culture of Big Horn County in a manner that will be interesting and knowledgeable for present and future generations. To promote tourism and to provide historical and area information.

OUR MOTTO

"Preserving Our Past for the Future."
