HISTORYTIn 1979, The Big Horn County Historical Society donated approximately 22-acres to create the Big Horn County Historical Museum. The museum is located on what was once a flourishing vegetable farm, which contained the farmhouse and barn. Since then, the museum has added many historical buildings and authentic furnishings and is now set up to look like a small town. OUR MISSIONThe Big Horn County Historical Museum is to collect, preserve, research, restore and exhibit all items pertinent to the history and culture of Big Horn County in a manner that will be interesting and knowledgeable for present and future generations. To promote tourism and to provide historical and area information. OUR MOTTO"Preserving our Past for the Future." |
